Dr Rick Ikesaka, assistant professor in the Division of Hematology and Thromboembolism at the Department of Medicine, McMaster University, presents upper extremity venous anatomy and talks about the presentation of upper extremity deep vein thrombosis (UEDVT), risk factors and pathogenesis of UEDVT as compared with lower extremity DVT, and strategies for the diagnosis, management, and prevention of UEDVT (line-associated and of other etiologies).
