The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC): Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program

The use of the McMaster Textbook of Internal Medicine can be recorded in the Royal College’s Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program in Section 2: Self-learning credit category under “Scanning.” This is recorded based on the following:

  • Reading a book chapter: 2 credits per chapter
  • Reading a journal article: 1 credit per article
  • Podcasts, audio, video: 0.5 credits per activity
  • Searching (point of care): 0.5 credits per topic searched

The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC): Mainpro+® (Maintenance of Proficiency) program

The use of the McMaster Textbook of Internal Medicine can be recorded in the Mainpro+® (Maintenance of Proficiency) program of the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) in the Noncertified self-learning credit category under “Self study using enduring materials.” This is recorded based on 1 noncertified credit per hour of participation.
