The second edition of the Medical Education Forum
has come to an end. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entire meeting was organized in the virtual space.
Hosting the event in this new, borderless digital format has been challenging, yet extremely rewarding. We could reach a wider audience and enhance medical education across the world.
The Medical Education Forum virtual platform was visited by 503 unique users
, who spent an average of 1 hour
on the website. The participants came from 35 different countries
. The live Zoom meeting
on May 6 was attended by 110 participants from 24 different countries
This year’s edition would not have been the same if not for our incredible speakers – 13 renowned international experts
presented their state-of-the-art lectures on practical aspects of medical education: assessment, clinical reasoning and technology-enhanced learning.
We wish to express our deepest gratitude for their engagement in the event and for sharing their knowledge, experience and inspiring ideas:
Dr. Teresa Chan, Dr. Samuel Edelbring, Prof. Reinold Gans, Prof. Brian Garibaldi, Dr. Inga Hege, Prof. Sören Huwendiek, Dr. Andrzej Kononowicz, Prof. Anthony O'Regan, Prof. Vassilios Papalois, Prof. Chris Plummer, Prof. Cees van der Vleuten, Dr. Mark Westwood and Dr. Luke Woodham.
The conference was cofinanced by the Polish Ministry of Education and Science within the “Doskonała Nauka” (“Excellent Science”) program. Therefore, all recorded lectures are now available free of charge. Improve your skills with the MEF post-conference educational materials – access them anytime, anywhere at www.mp.pl/mef/2021
We look to the future with great optimism and truly hope to host the next year’s meeting in person.
