Frequency

≥5 attacks, may occur from every other day to up to 8 per day

Duration

Lasting from 15 to 180 min (if untreated)

Characteristics

Severe or very severe unilateral pain in the orbital, supraorbital, and/or temporal area

And ≥1 of:

– Conjunctival injection and/or lacrimation

– Nasal congestion and/or rhinorrhea

– Eyelid edema

– Forehead and facial sweating and/or flushing

– Miosis and/or ptosis

– Restlessness or agitation
