Prof. Romuald Krajewski

President of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS)

Professor Romuald Krajewski graduated from the Medical Academy in Warsaw in 1975. He is a neurosurgeon working in an interdisciplinary head, neck and skull base surgical team in the Head and Neck Cancer Department at the Maria Sklodowska-Curie Memorial Cancer Center and Institute of Oncology in Warsaw, Poland. He is also a professor in the medical faculty of the Rzeszow University.

Since 2001 he has been the secretary of the national Appeal Bioethics Committee in the Polish Ministry of Health. Since 2013 he has been a member of the Bioethics Committee in the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Since 2012 Professor Krajewski has been the president of the European Union of Medical Specialists, an organization dealing with postgraduate specialist training, assessments and examinations of medical specialists and with setting criteria for the accreditation of continuing medical education.
