It is our great pleasure to invite you to attend the Medical Education Forum (MEF), which will take place in the beautiful historic city of Kraków, Poland, on May 8, 2019.
MEF has been developed by the Polish Institute for Evidence Based Medicine, McMaster University — the birthplace of evidence-based medicine (EBM) and problem-based learning (PBL) — and the Jagiellonian University Medical College. It is organized in collaboration with the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM), European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), American College of Physicians (ACP) and other institutions.
Renowned international experts will present state-of-the-art lectures on practical aspects of medical education. Our aim is to deliver up-to-date and reliable knowledge that is useful to clinical teachers at all levels of education. MEF is the event for you if you are looking to gain tailored, applicable knowledge and inspiring ideas from the best in the field.
The conference will be accompanied by post-conference workshops where experienced educators will share their knowledge and skills to help participants enhance their teaching armamentarium.
In the same week in May 2019 there are also two other international events held in Kraków that may be worth extending your trip a few days: Medical Review Auschwitz: Medicine Behind the Barbed Wire, a conference on May 7, and McMaster International Review Course in Internal Medicine, on May 9–11.
MEF will take place in the Conference Center of the Jagiellonian University Medical College, which is located conveniently in the city center and close to famous tourist attractions. Kraków offers an exceptional choice of things to do and see, from museums and art galleries to picturesque cafés in the medieval old town, a great variety of restaurants to suit any taste and a vibrant nightlife.
We look forward to seeing you in Kraków in May 2019.
