Matt Sibbald is the Director of the Centre for Simulation-Based Learning, Director of the Cardiology Residency training program, and an interventional cardiologist at McMaster University, Canada. He received his MD from the University of Toronto, completing postgraduate training in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Toronto. He completed a 2-year interventional fellowship at the University Health Network in Toronto.
Matt holds an MD and a PhD in health professions education from Maastricht University and has been active as an educational researcher studying questions around clinical reasoning, competency-based medical education and simulation-based learning.
