Dr Akbar Panju is Professor of Medicine and Medard DeGroote Chair in Medicine at McMaster University in Canada.
He is a specialist in Internal medicine. He is a clinician, educator and administrator. He has published 60 manuscripts in high impact journals. He is the Past President of Canadian Society of Internal medicine. He is the past Chief of Medicine at Hamilton Health Sciences.
He is a recipient of Osler Award from CSIM and Jack Hirsh Award from Department of Medicine.
He is the Co-Chair of International McMaster Review Course in medicine and is a  section Editor of McMaster Textbook of Medicine.
