Prof. Mohannad Abu-Hilal

Dr Mohannad Abu-Hilal graduated from the University of Jordan School of Medicine in 2006. Later he completed his dermatology residency training (2012), and then completed a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at the Sick Kids Hospital (2014) and a fellowship in Advanced Medical Dermatology at the University of Toronto (2015-2017). Currently Dr.Abu-Hilal serves as an Associate Professor and the Head of the Dermatology Division at McMaster University. He is also the Head of the Dermatology Service at Hamilton Health Sciences Centre.
Dr.Abu-Hilal has keen interest in under- and postgraduate medical education. He is the program director of the Advanced Clinical Dermatology fellowship program. He received various teaching awards including the Department of Medicine teaching excellence in 2022. His clinical and research interests include severe psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, immunobullous diseases, cutaneous lymphomas and skin manifestations of systemic diseases.
