Robert M. McLean, MD, MACP, FRCP was President of the American College of Physicians (ACP) for 2019-20.

He practices internal medicine and rheumatology in New Haven, Connecticut with the Northeast Medical Group of the Yale-New Haven Health System, where he is also a Medical Director.

He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine and regularly teaches students, residents, and fellows.

With the ACP, he has been involved with advocacy at the state and national levels for many years, served as ACP Governor for the Connecticut Chapter from 2009-13, and then was on the Board of Regents for several years before serving as President
