Dr. Amie Burbridge

European Federation of Internal Medicine

Dr Amie Burbridge is a consultant in acute and general medicine at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, UK. As a passionate educator, it is her mission to identify new and unique ways of educating. After graduating from Warwick Medical School, Amie completed a master's in medical education. A chance meeting with Dr Hussain Basheer led them to develop and produce the RCP Medicine Podcast. Amie is also the presenter of the European Federation of Internal Medicine (EFIM) podcast, The Home of Medicine.

Amie is the associate editor of the EFIM online education platform; EFIM Academy of which the focus is on clinical decision-making and cognitive biases in medicine. Amie is keen to highlight the importance of wellbeing amongst healthcare professionals and is clinical lead for Scwartz Rounds, a wellbeing forum at UHCW.

Amie would really like to bring joy and spark educational opportunities at every availability within the sphere of medicine and make medical education exciting and accessible to all who need it.
