Accreditation statement

The 9th McMaster International Review Course in Internal Medicine (MIRCIM 2024 with EFIM and ISIM Sessions), Kraków, Poland, 9-11 May 2024, has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 22.0 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spent in the educational activity.

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications.

Live educational activities occurring outside of Canada and recognized by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

CME credits

Each participant can only receive the number of credits they are entitled to according to their actual participation in the event once they have completed the feedback form.

The breakdown of ECMEC®s per day:

Date
Credits
May 9, 2024 8.0
May 10, 2024 7.0
May 11, 2024 7.0

What’s new this year is that participants are entitled to claim their CME credits even if they watch the recordings after the event, just like participants of the live event. You can report and claim your credits during the 6 months following the event.

The credits are granted, as for the live event, on the basis of actual participation, that is, how many hours of CME the participants have viewed.

The maximum number of credits granted for watching the recordings will be the same as for the live event and cannot exceed this number whatever the number of sessions attended or viewed. A participant may not obtain credits for participating at the live event and watching the same sessions as recordings.

Certificates of attendance

Participants are entitled to up to 22 European ECMEC®s for participating in the course (in-person or virtually, within the 6-month period following the event).

Certificates of attendance with CME credits will be issued to participants who complete an online evaluation and feedback form (available from May 11). The certificate will be sent as a PDF file to the email address provided during registration.
