↑ Infections, systemic connective tissue diseases, IBD, acute pancreatitis, MI, after surgery, malignancies

Minor ↑ tobacco smoking, increased body weight, atherogenic dyslipidemia, type 2 DM, arterial hypertension, hormone replacement therapy

Cardiovascular risk evaluation: <1 mg/L, low; 1-3 mg/L, moderate; >3 mg/L, high
