↓ Wilson disease, Menkes disease, dietary copper deficiency, aceruloplasminemia

↑ Inflammation, pregnancy, malignancies, use of oral contraceptives (in women), hepatitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, rheumatoid arthritis, MI, various forms of anemia, many obscure neurologic disorders
