Do noninvasive techniques for the diagnostics of liver fibrosis play a role in the treatment of liver disease?
Pere Ginès: I think that they will probably have a role in the treatment. I think that they are going to be very important particularly in the diagnosis of fibrosis in patients with fatty liver. There is an epidemic of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease associated with obesity, type 2 diabetes. I think that particularly in this specific group of patients with fatty liver, the amount of fibrotic tissue evaluated by noninvasive techniques is going to be very important in deciding the therapy of these patients.
