Should all patients with asthma be advised to avoid nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)?

No, as the prevalence of NSAID-exacerbated respiratory disease (NERD) is very low among the asthmatic population, only 7%. If you told all asthmatics to avoid NSAIDs, you’d be doing them a great disservice, so that should not be a routine recommendation for people with asthma.
