Serena Gundy, MD, is an associate professor in the Department of Medicine at McMaster University and a full-time obstetric medicine physician at McMaster University Medical Centre, specializing in the care of medically complex pregnancies. She has expertise in managing medical conditions during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Dr Gundy’s research focuses on maternal health, particularly the relationship between preeclampsia and the development of mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) over the first year postpartum. She is a 2023 Vision Grant research award recipient from the Preeclampsia Foundation Canada.
