Dr Meagan Guay, assistant professor in the Division of Neurology at McMaster University, explains the underlying pathophysiology and mechanism of migraine and migraine aura, discusses factors contributing to the development of migraine, and reviews advances in migraine management with a focus on calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP)-targeted treatments.
