Vijay Kunadian, MD, is a personal chair and professor of interventional cardiology at Newcastle University, UK, and an honorary academic consultant interventional cardiologist at Newcastle’s Freeman Hospital. She has been the UK Chief Investigator/Country Lead in numerous multicenter clinical trials focused on prevention of cardiovascular disease in the aging population with comorbidities and improving outcomes in patients at high risk of severe complications related to ischemic heart disease (particularly acute coronary syndrome).
